The Ex-Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Sagir Aminu Saleh, has dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Saleh joined the PDP along side Professor Sani malani as well as Baheejah Mahmoud of the Green Party of Nigeria and Advance Democratic Congress guber candidates, respectively

The decampees were received by Mohammed Bala, the PDP guber candidate in Bauchi during Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign rally in the state on Tuesday.

Bala stressed that lack of justice and internal democracy informed the defection of the former deputy governor along side other guber candidates; including 50,000 supporters of APC, NNPP and GPN to PDP.

“Today, we have received into PDP former Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Sagir Aminu Saleh, two guber candidates, former APC chairman including 50,000 supporters of APC, NNPP and Green Party of Nigeria,’ said Bala.

Leader of the defectors, Professor Sani Malami, said they defected to PDP to rescue the nation from APC. He promised that the defectors will mobilise their supporters to vote out APC in the next general election.

“We dumped our various political parties for PDP to save the country and to pursue our political career,” said Malami

“Herdsmen” Attacked My Farm” – Walter Onnoghen Tells Police

Suspended CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen has written a petition to the Inspector-General of Police, alleging that some suspected herdsmen invaded his farm, Wanogan Farms Limited, located around the Masaka area of Nasarawa State, on Friday, February 1, 2019.

The workers are now living in fear and consequently have stopped all farming activities. The farm belonging to the family of the CJN is a large commercial venture wherein veritable investments in time, labour and financial resources have been committed.

“We consider such a threat as an indication of imminent attack on the lives and property on the farm and we implore you, in the discharge of your constitutional duty as the number one police officer of the nation, to deploy your men to secure the farm.”

Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan left only $2.5 billion in the coffers of the federal government when he left government in 2015, the Director-General, All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi has said.

He emphasised that the corruption allegedly perpetrated by the immediate past administration of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was traceable to the current harsh economy in the country.

Amaechi, the former governor of Rivers state also revealed that former President Olusegun Obasanjo left $68bn while in office.

He expressed concern on why Jonathan could leave $2.5bn for President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, alleging that the Jonathan’s government ruined the nation’s economy through corruption.

Amaechi spoke in Akure, the Ondo State capital during the party’s presidential campaign rally held on Tuesday in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

President Buhari at the occasion maintained that his administration has kept faith to all his electioneering campaign promises, especially on the fight against corruption.

According to him, many corrupt Nigerians have been arrested and prosecuted in the last three and half years of his administration.

The President assured that his government would intensify efforts on the fight against corruption if he is reelected. He said the money recovered from those found culpable of various corrupt offences will be used to develop the country.

Buhari said “We are gradually winning the war against Boko Haram and Nigeria is getting secured. Boko Haram no longer operates in many communities in Borno State. In fact, they don’t operate in secular places again.

Vice President Osinbajo assured that the administration of President Buhari will create one and half million jobs for unemployed youths if given the opportunity for a second term in office.

He said the federal government had engaged 500,000 youths through the N-Power programme in the last three and half years and will do more if allowed to serve a second term.

Osinbajo also promised an improved electricity supply in all parts of the country, adding that a new initiative tagged “People’s Money” which is a replica of the “Traders money” will be introduced during the second term of President Buhari.

Tinubu To Nigerians: “Let’s Get Rid Of Corruption”

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Tuesday stressed the needs for all Nigerians to remove the cancer of corruption.

He revealed the country deserves a leader like President Muhammadu Buhari for the nation’s economy to grow like other advanced countries of the world.

Tinubu, who spoke at the MKO Abiola Democracy Park in Akure, the capital of Ondo state at the APC campaign rally for the re-election of Buhari, assured the APC would create an enabling environment for businesses to strive and promote industry, commerce and agriculture, which he identified as the strength of the economy of any nation.

According to Tinubu, the PDP has admitted failure even before the election by their allegation that APC and Buhari were planning to rig the February 16 general elections.

He said: “The PDP claimed that APC was planning to rig election. How can you rig an election that has not been conducted?

“This is a clear fact that the PDP was preparing for failure. The PDP has admitted its loss of the election even before the election is conducted.”

2019 Election: What Will Happen To Okorocha, Son-Inlaw, Nwosu – Hope Uzodinma Says.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, has disclosed what will happen to the state governor, Rochas Okorocha and his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu in the forthcoming election.

Uzodinma declared that “accident” awaits both Okorocha and Nwosu during the election.

The governorship candidate said this when he met with traditional rulers in Ihitte Uboma and Obowo area of the state yesterday.

The former Senator also accused Okorocha of reducing traditional rulers in the state to pupils.

Uzodinma lamented that traditional rulers in the State can no longer speak as royal fathers due to intimidation and harassment from Okorocha’s government.

He, however, assured that he will restore the dignity of the traditional institution in the state if elected.

He said: “The dignity of our royal fathers has been reduced to nothing by Okorocha.

“I will restore that dignity because I will not join Rochas to enjoy the accident that awaits him at the polls as regards his third term ambition through his son-in-law. I will rule with the fear of God.

“I feel so ashamed that majority of the traditional rulers I have visited, stay in an uncompleted building while Rochas and his family stay in different mansions in Owerri and Abuja. Rochas and Uche Nwosu own more than half of the luxury properties in Owerri today.

“Yet they refused to allow our traditional rulers enjoy peace. They order them to Owerri even at midnight, Okorocha turned them to pupils. It is sad because these people are supposed to be the custodians of our customs and traditions”.

Uzodinma also pledged to restore all “that we have lost under Rochas. This is a fight between the poor masses of Imo and the Billionaire Rochas Family. You can imagine a boy who has not worked anywhere in his life apart from being a Personal Assistant to Rochas but today he owns choice properties all over the world.”

“Why Buhari Will Bar Me From Visiting Him” – Orji Kalu

A Ex-Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has revealed what President Muhammadu Buhari would do him if he (Kalu) asks him to stop his trial by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Kalu, was responding to a question on whether he joined the All Progress Congress, APC, in order to evade trial for alleged money laundering, in an interview with Sun.

He said that President Buhari would be angry and bar him from coming to his house once he mentions that his case with the EFCC should be waved aside as a party member.

Kalu, who said that such request would create enmity between him and the President, insisted that he did not join the APC to be pardoned.

The former governor, who is also vying for a seat in the Senate, said, “That is not true. I joined APC mainly because of Buhari. In 2003, I was with Buhari strongly.

“In 2007, he joined me at the Yar’Adua Centre when I declared for the presidency and later worked with him.

“In 2011, I endorsed Buhari openly saying he was the most honest Nigerian living and that caused a lot of rift between me and the government in power then.

“I did not join APC for Buhari to stop my trial. I know the man very well. I have never discussed my trial with Buhari and I will not discuss it with him because I have followed all legal processes; there is nobody in Buhari’s government that will say I have begged him or gone to his house to discuss my trial with him. I know that my trial is 100 per cent political and I know it is still political.

“People are simply afraid of what I will do and I want to tell them to stop being afraid because I am created by the same God that created them.

“I will become whatever God has destined me to be and no human being can stop it. I have everything to be what I want to be; it’s just for God to keep me alive to achieve that.

“So, when people see us in APC, they think we are there to curry Buhari’s favor. No. I know the type of man he is. He used to come to this house (in Igbere) when he was not President. I took him round Abia.

“I took him to round Imo State and other places. I know Buhari’s mindset. His mindset is that money should be conserved and used for poor people.

“I cannot go and tell Buhari to call someone and tell him to stop my trial. He would ask me to stop coming to his house. That is the truth.

“So, if I know that, I would go to him to discuss about our party, to discuss about Nigeria and I would never mention my trial, he would be happy and welcome me.

“But the moment I go there to tell him ‘how can this happen?’ I would not come into his house again. So, this is the man called Buhari; people don’t even know him very well.

“Certain things have happened of late that some people say Buhari does not respect the judiciary. I don’t want to go into that, but what I want to say is that Buhari wishes the judiciary well. He has just given autonomy to the state judiciary.

“However, I expect the President to give standing directives to his law officers that they must obey the orders of the courts and that is what make the political society.”

‘Pochettino Should Be Man United Next Manager’- Wayne Rooney Reveals

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino would be the “right guy” for Manchester United if they do not appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, says Wayne Rooney.

Pochettino has been strongly linked with the permanent job at Old Trafford.

Rooney’s ex-United team-mate Solskjaer became caretaker boss in December and is unbeaten after 10 games in charge.

“It’d be nice to see Ole Gunnar continue with this form and get a shot at the job on a permanent basis,” Rooney told CNN.

“But if not, if the club go to choose from somewhere else, then I think Pochettino would be the right guy,” added United’s all-time leading goalscorer.
